Hi, friends!

Now that my laptop is back from another repair, I thought I’d update everyone with the latest Eagy family news.

Gideon is now 4 1/2 months old and has a delightful smile and laugh. He loves his brother and sisters…especially Hannah who asks to take care of him many times every day! At his last doctor appointment his stats were 50% across the board - height, weight and head size. People usually comment on how big he looks but he’s really just average! Yesterday he found his toes so he likes to lay on his back holding his toes rolling from side to side. He loves being held and is pretty interested in people food - so that may be around the corner soon!

Abigail talks nonstop! She always impresses us with her long sentences and big words. She keeps up with the big kids on the trampoline, loves her baby dolls and is finally loving Sunday school! We had our first babysitter (other than my mom…who has watched our kids graciously for years!) last night and she did great. She loves to be funny and has a great big belly laugh! She’s our shoe girl - switching her shoes multiple times each day. Her big blue eyes melt her Papa’s heart.

Gabe is really into dressing up - usually one of the first things he wants to do each day! Ironman, army man, policeman and fireman to name a few. He’s trying to figure out riding his two wheeler bike without training wheels, loves being outside exploring our field, asks to swim every day and is growing into a little man who loves Jesus! He has such a soft heart that wants to please. He’ll play with anyone who is willing…playing alone is not something he enjoys! He’s super excited for Family Camp with our church this year and to ride the zip line and eat s’mores. He loves to be read to.

Hannah is learning to read and loves her “reading lessons” with Mama every day. She’s so proud of herself! She’s also trying to ride her bike without training wheels. Hannah dresses up her babies in many different outfits each day. It’s amazing how helpful she is with Gideon, too! She can change his diaper (with a tiny adjustment at the end!), get him dressed, carry him around and play with him! Hannah had her first salon haircut a few weeks ago and loves her new ‘do. She’s very responsible, sweet, motivated to learn quickly and loving to her siblings and friends.

…to wake up to this precious face every morning! Gideon is three months old today. He is the sweetest, most laid back and relaxed little guy. And he LOVES to smile. Now just smile, but give you this full faced exaggerated smile every time!

He melts my heart! The cutest. thing. ever.

I guess I was feeling extra brave a few weeks ago when I made an appointment to take all four kids to Kiddie Kandids. It was crazy, funny, and chaotic. With my mom’s help, it was a success! We couldn’t believe how cooperative the kids were. Here are some pictures (these are the unedited versions from Kiddie Kandid’s website):

My little Eagy soccer team did so great getting their pictures taken. Needless to say, my mom and I were exhausted from the ordeal and we got McDonald’s on the way home! Crazy, hilarious, fun.

Gideon is two months old! Time flies - it’s such an “old person” thing to say, but it really does. It’s hard to believe how much Gideon has changed already! He went to see Dr. John yesterday and passed with flying colors. He’s ridiculously healthy…at least that’s what the doctor said. Here are his stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz (I guessed 12 to 13 pounds. Pretty good, eh?) 55th percentile
Height: 22 3/4 inches 50th percentile
Head: 50th percentile This stunned me! Our kids all have heads in the 90th percentile. Either his head will catch up soon or he’ll have a more average sized head. Funny!

Gideon is really a sweet baby. He’s sleeping well, loves to eat, takes his brother and sisters pokes and bonks like a champ, and loves, loves to be held. He’s easy to calm down and enjoys taking in all the activity around him. I know he’ll be contributing to all he craziness around us before I know it! For now, he’s soooo fun to hold, snuggle, gaze at, talk to and have in my arms. We love you, Gideon Joshua!
