Nice tie!

So if you don’t read my sister’s blog or you aren’t part of our family you probably didn’t know that my dad was remarried this last weekend. It was a very nice, small, ceremony for just immediate family. Here are two pictures from that event (from their photographer’s, Heather Kozup, website…):

and then…

Hmmm…one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn’t belong (for all you Sesame street fans!). Yep, that’s our Gabe in a circa 1920ish one-piece short combo outfit with a stylin’ yellow tie and shiny blue shoes! The dress shirt looks better you say? Well, yes it did look better than the short outfit, but that was before the, um, how show we say this gently - puke.
That’s right - our Gabe decided that just as the pastor was wrapping up the final prayer and was about to pronounce Greg and Stef Ann man and wife he would projectile vomit. Not once. Twice.
He was a real trooper though. He wasn’t even crying. He just looked at me, then the floor (and his shirt) with this “what was that!?!” expression. We hoped it was an isolated incident and cleaned him up so we could go to the reception at Epi’s (mmmmmm….Epi’s…..that is for another post about gluttony and deep fat fried balls of butter!). But, 10 minutes later on the baptismal we again had to rush over to him with the garbage can and paper towels. Could it have been Burger King and then the “Gym o’ Germs” also known as the kiddie play area? We’ll never know for sure but it did continue for quite a while that evening and whenever he drank apple juice for the next few days (weird huh?).
I’m sure it will always be a memorable wedding for my dad and Steph and one of those great embarrassing moments we can talk about when he is older to embarrass him!
Thanks to Tarah and Tezeta for their burp rag - it has gone on to a better place…
Special thanks to Katie for cleaning Gabe up and for watching him all evening. Thanks to Diane for coming over helping Katie and making sure she wasn’t too sad about missing the reception afterwards. My wife is awesome!
See - that’s how you do weddings when you have little kids! Sounds a lot more exciting than the last wedding you went and sat through I bet - you should get yourself three kids under 2.5 years old!! This is nothing!
God is so good! Blessings all!

The puke had the best timing! It was awesome. As a mom of a puker (reflux Chandler) I say you handled it well.
It would have been more memorable had it caused a chain reaction…oh well.

Bless you dears, this was hilarious reading…children are a great reality check and you are passing the test!!
They came home Sat. both sugar levels are good. The gestational diabetes was the reason for the inducing & took forever as in a day & a half
in time for A. Feenie to get home from her business trip. What a blessing all around.
I have great news as well. May 24th at 1:49pm we met grandgirl #2 with a jumping for joy big sister, Amber;
Alannah Lucille Marie was 8.7 and even now in Boise 3 days later I can feel her weight in my arms. She was 21in long and it all was such a blessing to see her so active, opening her eyes soon after birth, crying & wiggling…what a difference. Last night I talked a little with both Amy & Tim. They were initially concerned about nursing. But both mommy & baby have figured it out!
Love you guys! Trudy

Oh, could he be any more precious? He looks older, too!
Hope all is well now…
So sorry about the crazy puke thing, but it is timely - I’ve been thinking so much about memories lately - and it looks like you’ve already had laughter over it, and moved on!
