Waiting for Spring…or September?

by Eagy Family on Feb.10, 2008, under Family

Well I don’t know about you, but winter is beginning to feel like it will drag on forever! The holidays are done, and all of our family birthdays that fall in the winter are behind us.

If you have read Katie’s posts very often you know that the kids have been sick often! And just this last week they were sick again! This time it was a lot of runny noses, coughs, and some ear infections.

Even Katie has been feeling sick as well - some nausea, stuffy nose, and upset stomach. But that has been going on for several weeks now and will probably keep going for a while.

With the long winter, we like to get the kids outside to play, but if we can’t do that (since it has been so cold lately) we find ourselves going to different stores and just wandering around - we don’t spend any money, but it is fun to at least get out and let the kids have a different environment. One of our favorites to wander is Best Buy - very convenient parking!

If we don’t go out, the kids have been having a lot of fun lately playing with their babies and pretending they are our family!

And they really like to play pretend!

The one nice thing about winter is that everybody seems to be able to go to sleep pretty easy in the evenings. Abigail, Gabe and Hannah are all in bed and asleep by 7:00 p.m.!

And in this ’season’ even Katie is usually dozing off by 7:30 or 8:30!

We definitely thank God for his changing ’seasons’ and are excitedly looking forward to this next ’season’! We anxiously await this spring and summer and definitely September - because Katie should be feeling much better by then! We love you all!

Congratulations!! What a cute announcement. I read it and called Grammy Nancy to see if it was true, she said “what?” she evidently hadn’t read the whole thing. You know how smug I was to have figured it out before she did. Love you all, you are a beautiful family.
