Teaching Easter

by Eagy Family on Mar.20, 2008, under Family

It’s been a fun week teaching the kids about Easter. This year we bought the “Resurrection Eggs” and it’s been requested we go through the story several times each day! What a precious sight to see Hannah and Gabe grasping bits and pieces of what Jesus did for them on the cross.

What tender hearts!

These moments are some of my favorite Mama moments - teaching them about Jesus and the grace & mercy we received on the cross. Lord, may they know you, love you, serve you all of their days and do everything to bring you glory. Thank you for what you did for us on the cross and your unfathomable love.

New Photo Album

by Eagy Family on Mar.12, 2008, under Family

We are testing out a new photo album…we’re thinking about using Picasa along with our WordPress blog software. Let’s see how it works! These are our photos from February 2008.

If you want to see the album full sized (with captions!) click here!

You can also click on the sidebar link to get to the Eagy Family Photo Album. I’m updating photos from January (since we totally missed that month!) and March. Hope everyone enjoys the photos again!

Tarah, I love you sis.  But I’m not sure I have enough weirdness in my life to make this interesting.  My sister in law, Tarah, tagged me to write about ten weird/odd/random things or facts/habits about myself.  For the sake of y’all getting to know me better, here goes:

1. You all knew this, but the statistics are a bit humerous: from February of 2004 to April of 2007, I was NOT pregnant for only nine months.  I think I’m close to an expert by now!

2. Except for my first 3 months of life and a six month break when Ryan & I first got married, I’ve lived in the same zip code my WHOLE LIFE.  I’d love a change.  We’ll see where we move next!

3. I’m very organized (some would say anal…but whatever!). I plan out a dinner menu for the whole month.  I have an excel sheet for grocery shopping, organized by how I walk the store. My kids toys are organized by types.  I have a cleaning schedule I stick to.  I could go on…

4. In high school I dyed my hair a lot.  One time after dying it my hair had a major crisis.  It was all stretchy and totally falling apart.  My mom took me to her stylist and she gave me several treatments to save my hair.  I’m thankful she did and I learned a lesson!

5. I think I have one of the coolest engagement stories on record.  Ryan built a temporary gazebo in a park near my parent’s house.  We walked there and he flipped on a switch - the whole thing lit up and music started playing.  We danced to a special song and he had a huge vase of roses there.  It was incredible!

6. When I was a kid, I used to lay my clothes out on the floor for the next day before I went to bed.  From head to toe, everything I was going to wear.  Ya, even organized (anal) back then, too!

7. I LOVE water.  Swimming, water skiing, rafting, boating, throwing rocks into water, having the sprinklers on.  I think it would be so cool to have a cabin by water someday.

8.  Drinking plain water while pregnant makes me nauseous.  I have to have a bit of juice mixed in with the water to get it down.

9. I kind of liked the feeling of having my ears pierced (at one point I had four earring in one side and five in the other).

10. When I was about 12 years old, I’d ride my bike to Pizza Hut with some friends and fold their pizza boxes for a free personal pan pizza.  What a mooch.  I bet the manager wasn’t excited to see three giggling girls pull up on our bikes!

Now I tag: Heather Hughes, April Moffatt, Becca Hammagren,  Andi Marshall and Lisa Wolin.  Don’t feel obligated to do this, but I’d love to read your answers!

These are just some of the reasons why we love you, Papa:

You make us laugh, laugh laugh!

You take care of us when we’re sick. Somehow you make everything better, even when we don’t feel good.

We know you love all of us so much, and you make us feel special!

We’re pretty sure that every minute we’re awake, you want to play with us!  You must really love playing with us, Papa.

And you tell us we’re beautiful every day.

We love to hear that from you, Papa.  Thanks for loving us so much, we sure love you back!
