H20 & Drugs!

by Eagy Family on Jan.17, 2009, under Family

So Dr. Knudson is the doctor on call, and she reviewed Katie’s chart and noted that every other time Katie’s labor went fast once they broke her water. So the doctor just broke it for Katie. She’s laying in bed now and getting an IV so that she has the option of an epidural - she has done it twice without (they pulled it out with Gabe after 10 minutes, so I don’t count that one) and once with. Since this one is seeming to go so fast, the nurses and doctor agreed that it shouldn’t slow anything down, so she is thinking that direction.

God is good - Katie says she’s really excited at this point!

Here’s the trooper hard at work!

Working hard!

Working hard!

Don’t let her fool you - she was working hard. Here are her contractions at the moment!

PS - She asks me to put this on the web - otherwise that would be a bad husband move!

We’re In!

by Eagy Family on Jan.17, 2009, under Family

So over that hour walk, Katie went from 3 cm to 4/4.5 cm. Very good progress. So the doctor on-call has admitted Katie. They are doing all the admission stuff now (looking for veins) and then Katie plans to go walking some more since that worked so good this last hour. Thank you Lord - hopefully we will get to see this little man soon!

A Walking We Will Go

by Eagy Family on Jan.17, 2009, under Family

So Katie was checked and she is having regular contractions, about 3 minutes apart, and she is currently dilated to 3cm, 80% effaced, and -2 station. The nurse asked us to walk for about an hour and see if there was any change, and then they will decide if they want to admit her. Pray for change! (No Obama, not that kind!)
