She’s Growing Up
by Eagy Family on Feb.18, 2009, under Family
About six months ago, Hannah asked about getting her ears pierced. We told her it would hurt and she decided she “wasn’t ready.” And then about two months ago, Hannah decided she was ready for earrings - pain and all. So we told her we would need to wait a little while to make sure she didn’t change her mind. She kept reminding us daily that she was ready to get earrings (this is how she phrases it - she doesn’t like to talk about the piercing part!).
So…as a Valentine’s Day surprise, we decided to go to Claire’s at the mall and have her ears pierced. Here she is getting the purple marker dot on her ears:

We were told by the employees at Claire’s they always have two employees on Saturdays. But they didn’t say after 1:00 p.m. Hannah decided she was brave enough to get them done one at a time. The first one surprised her and she didn’t cry. But the second one…well, she knew what was coming so we saw a few tears. You have to love the teary eyed smile!

And this was her face when we told her we would go to Fuzziwigs (a candy store in the mall) for a treat!

Good job, Hannah! You are beautiful, as always!
Flying with Grampa
by Eagy Family on Feb.13, 2009, under Family
Ryan’s dad, Grampa Greg, is a favorite over at our house. He comes with candy and gifts almost every time we see him! Last weekend he gave our kids a huge surprise - going up in his airplane for the morning! Our kids were beyond excited for every aspect of the morning. Hannah and Gabe were able to go up in the plane with Papa and Grampa Greg (it only holds four people). So Abigail, Gideon and I watched from the ground.
Here are the little pilots ready for some action:

This is as close to flying as Abigail got. Maybe in a couple of years, little lady!

After all the pre-flight checks were done, all four of them pushed the plane out of the hanger. Hannah and Gabe felt pretty important!

Gabe and Hannah buckled into their carseats (inside the plane) with their head gear ready. They could all talk to each other and it wasn’t as loud this way.

They had a very memorable experience! Ryan said he looked back a few times and their faces were red from laughing hysterically. They’re looking forward to another flight whenever Grampa Greg is ready! The next flight might take them out to breakfast in another little city. How fun is that!?
And I can’t post something without adding a photo of Gideon, my little sweet man! There are also more photos added to the February album on our Picasa site. Just click the Eagy Family Photo Album link. Have a great weekend!

5*5*5

My sweet friend Heather tagged me. Here’s the scoop: Go to your fifth picture folder and post the fifth photo you have there. Then tag 5 people to do the same. Here’s my fabulous little sister-in-law Kailyn with her cute pup Cocoa Puff:

Our family was spending some time at Ryan’s dad’s house. Tractor rides, picking pumpkins, playing games and the cousins did some relay races. Involved lots of food and candy - typical of any day spent at Grampa Greg’s house!
Thanks, Heather! That was fun. Now, I tag:
1. Brenda Dayton
2. Tarah Herdegen
3. Lisa Lindley
4. Alisa Peterson
5. Andi Marshall
