It Brings Me Such Joy…

…to wake up to this precious face every morning! Gideon is three months old today. He is the sweetest, most laid back and relaxed little guy. And he LOVES to smile. Now just smile, but give you this full faced exaggerated smile every time!

He melts my heart! The cutest. thing. ever.
So here are a couple more pictures of my little Gideon Joshua. Thank you, Jesus, for blessing us with this precious gift!

And here is the whole family on Easter:

I guess I was feeling extra brave a few weeks ago when I made an appointment to take all four kids to Kiddie Kandids. It was crazy, funny, and chaotic. With my mom’s help, it was a success! We couldn’t believe how cooperative the kids were. Here are some pictures (these are the unedited versions from Kiddie Kandid’s website):

Can you believe they all look cute?!

Our sassy almost two-year-old got some birthday pictures taken:

And one more…

My little Eagy soccer team did so great getting their pictures taken. Needless to say, my mom and I were exhausted from the ordeal and we got McDonald’s on the way home! Crazy, hilarious, fun.
Two Months

Gideon is two months old! Time flies - it’s such an “old person” thing to say, but it really does. It’s hard to believe how much Gideon has changed already! He went to see Dr. John yesterday and passed with flying colors. He’s ridiculously healthy…at least that’s what the doctor said. Here are his stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz (I guessed 12 to 13 pounds. Pretty good, eh?) 55th percentile
Height: 22 3/4 inches 50th percentile
Head: 50th percentile This stunned me! Our kids all have heads in the 90th percentile. Either his head will catch up soon or he’ll have a more average sized head. Funny!
Here’s the handsome man at two months old:

One of my favorite pictures from last week - it’s as if he’s saying “you talkin’ to me?!”

Gideon is really a sweet baby. He’s sleeping well, loves to eat, takes his brother and sisters pokes and bonks like a champ, and loves, loves to be held. He’s easy to calm down and enjoys taking in all the activity around him. I know he’ll be contributing to all he craziness around us before I know it! For now, he’s soooo fun to hold, snuggle, gaze at, talk to and have in my arms. We love you, Gideon Joshua!
Nothing sweeter than this…

My Gideon,
You are about the cutest thing imaginable! Your smile…so precious. We love you, our little man!

There’s nothing better than those first smiles - they come out all goofy, full faced, and at times awkward…but oh, so adorable!
She’s Growing Up

About six months ago, Hannah asked about getting her ears pierced. We told her it would hurt and she decided she “wasn’t ready.” And then about two months ago, Hannah decided she was ready for earrings - pain and all. So we told her we would need to wait a little while to make sure she didn’t change her mind. She kept reminding us daily that she was ready to get earrings (this is how she phrases it - she doesn’t like to talk about the piercing part!).
So…as a Valentine’s Day surprise, we decided to go to Claire’s at the mall and have her ears pierced. Here she is getting the purple marker dot on her ears:

We were told by the employees at Claire’s they always have two employees on Saturdays. But they didn’t say after 1:00 p.m. Hannah decided she was brave enough to get them done one at a time. The first one surprised her and she didn’t cry. But the second one…well, she knew what was coming so we saw a few tears. You have to love the teary eyed smile!

And this was her face when we told her we would go to Fuzziwigs (a candy store in the mall) for a treat!

Good job, Hannah! You are beautiful, as always!
